Cherilyn Hallaway, Administrator
Cherilyn came to Bethesda in June of 2016. Cherilyn has 20+ years of long term care experience, with a base in Social Services. Cherilyn is an area native, growing up in Alcester, where she and her husband, Jay still reside with their children Jackie, Elizabeth and William.
Jean Allerdings, Business Office Coordinator
Jean moved to Beresford in 2017 for her husband’s job. Jean started with Bethesda of Beresford in February of 2018. Jean and Doug have three grown boys and 6 grandchildren. Jean brings years of Business Office experience to Bethesda, which she chose because it’s close to home for her and she truly loves to see the residents and hear their stories.
Vanessa McBride, Human Resources Coordinator
Vanessa McBride started working at Bethesda in 2002, where she worked as a Dietary Aide, she ventured out into the world and came back in 2005 through 2007 and wandered again-she came back to stay in December 2014 (…home really is where the heart is!) and is now the Human Resources Coordinator. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant in December of 2016 and is proud to be able to help the residents maintain the life they want to lead. She loves working at Bethesda because of the family atmosphere the difference we make in each residents life. Learning about their lives and how they shaped the world we live in today is inspiring! Vanessa resides in Alcester with her three daughters, Abigail, Kaitlyn and Lia.
Chris Doeden, Physical Therapist
Chris Doeden began working at Bethesda as a physical therapist in May of 2004 when she and her family moved to Beresford. She has been a physical therapist for 23 years and has worked in facilities such as Bethesda during that entire span. At Bethesda, Chris provides physical therapy services to the residents of Bethesda as well as providing outpatient Physical Therapy services to members of the Beresford community and surrounding areas. Chris has loved being a therapist at Bethesda as she gets to see a wide variety of patients in age and diagnoses. It has also given her a very flexible place to work while raising her family. She has been married to her husband Troy for 27 years and has four children, Sophie who is graduated from college and working for Senator John Thune’s office, Oliver who studies at USD majoring in math education, Grace attends college at Augustana, and Audrey attends Beresford High School. In her spare time, Chris loves to play the piano giving piano lessons in her spare time and at times playing for church where she is a member at Emmanuel Lutheran in Beresford. Chris is thankful for all of the people she has been able to meet through her position at Bethesda and has been grateful to be able to impact them by helping them overcome any healthcare hurdles they may have had.
Adara Lidgett, RN, Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control
Adara joined the Bethesda team in February of 2018 as our Staff Development and Infection Control Nurse. Adara comes with many years of experience in Long Term Care. Adara resides in Alcester with her fiance, Nick and their three children, Lainey, Abel and Norah.
Leanna Hedeen, RN, MDS Coordinator/Clinical Care Coordinator
Leanna joined the Bethesda team in February of 2017 as an MDS coordinator/clinical care coordinator. Leanna has been a Registered Nurse for 8 years working in long-term care for all 8 of those years and pediatrics for a year. Leanna recently moved back to Beresford with her husband Keith and 3 kids-Easton, Mckenzie and Mathew.
Rosie Sebern, Activities Director
Rosie has been with Bethesda for 33 years. When she started her career at Bethesda, she was the beauty operator at the old location before becoming the Activity Director. Rosie resides in Beresford with her husband Mike. Rosie enjoys spending time with her kids and grandchildren, traveling to watch them participate in sporting events.
Scott Gavin, Environmental Services Manager
Claudia McBride, Dietary Manager
Claudia McBride started working at Bethesda in November of 1996 as a dietary aide, then promoted to Cook then to Dietary Manager in 2013. Claudia has 4 Children and 7 Grandchildren. Loves working at Bethesda and loves to interact with the Residents and Staff. She has a passion for cooking and serving the residents good nutritional meals. Claudia belongs to Brule Creek Lutheran Church, with a strong faith. Claudia came from Germany in 1984 and loves to live in the U.S.A.
